We want to see New Dundas Park developed into the ‘best wee fitba ground in Scotland’. We believe that as one of Scotland's oldest community clubs, we should have a fit-for-purpose home for the 'Rosey Posey' in the heart of our community.
Why it matters
This is a great old ground that has witnessed some amazing matches, moments and emotions. But it is getting harder and harder for the club to compete on the pitch when so much has to be diverted from the playing budget to make repairs and meet licensing requirements.
We are stronger together.
1881 Club are seeking like minded supporters who wish to see the club continue to realise its potential. By collecting small monthly contributions from many people, we will build a collective fund, exclusively intended for New Dundas Park upkeep and improvement. We will never release money for anything other than the ground and money will only be released if 1881 Club members vote for it.
Potential Projects
The club has a long list of projects for improving fan experience that require funding. These range from disabled access facilities (a licensing requirement) through to new covered terraces and additional catering facilities.
All projects would be fully costed by the football club and it is hoped a steadily growing 1881 Club membership can make a significant contribution towards these projects. Remember for every pound we release to the club for New Dundas Park that is one less pound that is being potentially diverted away from the playing budget.
Be part of it
Over the last few months, we have spoken with lots of fellow supporters and there are two common themes; a deep affection for the 'Boomtown Bernabeu’ and a strong desire to make it better. Let’s harness that desire and make it happen!
